The annual St Anthony’s School fireworks display went with a bang as hundreds of people packed into the Titchfield Common school to see one of the best displays in the Western Wards.
Mulled wine for the adults and some traditional games for the children kept the huge crowd entertained while waiting for darkness to fall at the school in Primate Road.
A huge bonfire was lit on one side of the school to get the event off to a crackling start before the fireworks started at around 6pm.
There then followed a 20-minute display set to music and featuring, rockets, Catherine wheels and all the traditional favourite fireworks.
At the end of it all the crowd of families and young children went home with smiles on their faces and a little ringing in their ears after a spectacular evening.
